Groningen sports centre – ACLO

The ACLO is the largest sports organization in Groningen, as well as in the Netherlands. It provides a unique opportunity to all students studying in Groningen to make use of all its facilities and courses at a very accessible price.  

A membership allows you to use all facilities and enroll in any courses for an entire study year, and will cost you less than €60 at the moment. In addition, if you want to use the gym facility you will have to pay an additional fee of about 50euros. Exchange students which are here for only one semester or less, can also join the ACLO by paying a lower membership fee. All this is possible because of the involvement of the University of Groningen, as well as the local university of applied sciences, which provide subsidies to the ACLO.
