Experience Indonesia

An event to remember was the Indonesian dinner organized by the Indonesian community in Groningen. It was a unique opportunity to experience the Indonesian culture accompanied with food fit for a king.

The presence of the Indonesian ambassador for The Netherlands, Her Excellency Ms. Retno Marsudi, made the evening even more special. She opened the programme with a speech about the beauty of Indonesia and the great economical and social improvement achieved over the years.

The programme content many presentations to enrich everyone`s knowledge of the Indonesian culture, traditional songs and impressive dances from different regions of the country. For the ones that value delicious food, there were ten different dishes to put your stomach into bliss, though the spicy Sambal was only for the ones not afraid to play with fire. Many Indonesian FEB students took part as well proving that they are not just brilliant when it comes to economics and business but also very artistic.

The audience didn’t have even a minute to get bored competing in a quiz about their knowledge of Indonesia and win wonderful prizes and everybody was invited to join in the dance Sajojo for a perfect end of a memorable night.
